FAQ
Privacy, payouts, censorship, supported models, and more.
Short answers to the questions people ask most. If something here points deeper, the linked page has the full story.
Privacy
Do workers see who I am?
No. A worker only receives the messages it needs to continue — never your identity, wallet, or account. The accounting that pays a worker is linked to a job id, not to you. See Architecture.
Are my prompts stored?
Prompts aren't retained on the network after a job completes — the job payload lives in Redis only long enough to be served. Your own conversation history is kept against your account, for you, and is yours to delete.
Using ashao
Do I need an account to try it?
You can send a message on the network without signing in. Signing in with a wallet grants you a starting balance of 500 credits, saves your history, and lets you earn and stake.
What does “uncensored” mean here?
ashao doesn't silently rewrite your intent or editorialize your prompts; the network aims to be neutral plumbing for inference. That is a privacy and user-control choice, not an invitation to cause harm — you remain responsible for what you ask for and how you use the output. See the note in Introduction.
Which models run my chat?
Pro jobs are served first by small models running in browser WebGPU workers; Max jobs route to cloud and native workers for heavier capacity. When no worker is available, a cloud provider self-serves the job so a response always streams. See How it works.
Earning & payouts
How much do workers earn?
A worker keeps 70% of the value of the jobs it completes, paid in USDC, rising to 80% if you stake $ASHAO. See Run a worker and Staking.
What hardware do I need to run a worker?
A WebGPU-capable browser (recent Chrome or Edge) and a reasonably modern GPU. The default browser model is small enough to run on consumer hardware. If your browser can't support a worker, ashao tells you instead of failing silently.
The token
Do I need $ASHAO to use ashao?
No. You pay for usage with credits, which are priced in dollars. $ASHAO is for ownership — staking, rewards, and the worker boost — and is never required to send a message. See Credits & tiers.
Where do staking rewards come from?
From real revenue. Half of treasury income is paid to stakers and half funds buyback-and-burn of $ASHAO. There is no inflationary emission printing tokens to pay rewards. See The $ASHAO token.
Not financial advice
Anything in these docs about $ASHAO, staking, or earnings describes how the mechanism is designed to work. It is documentation, not investment advice, and tokens carry risk.Still stuck?
Try asking an agent directly — open the chat and ask it about ashao. It can search and cite as it answers.
